Equity - Driven Leader - Connector - Advocate

I believe thriving school communities are built when leadership at every level centers wellness, equity, and collaboration as fundamental pillars. My approach embraces the belief that school systems must align academic purpose with holistic health supports so that every student, teacher, and staff member has the opportunity to learn, serve, and live well.

My Core Beliefs & Philosophy

I lead with a whole-child and whole-staff mindset, recognizing that academic achievement, physical health, mental wellness, and social connection are deeply intertwined.

  1. I commit to equity by design, ensuring that policies and practices proactively remove barriers for historically underserved students and staff—consistent with Thriving Schools’ equity & access priority.

  2. I believe in the integration of health and education systems —collaborating across sectors (healthcare, community services, education) so that schools become true anchors of wellness and learning.

  3. I champion resilient school environments, supporting social-emotional learning (SEL), trauma-informed practices, and staff well-being strategies, as exemplified by ThrivingSchools’ RISE initiative.

  4. I promote data-informed improvement and continuous learning, believing that schools must assess strengths and gaps (e.g., Street Data, needs assessments, and asset mapping) to guide meaningful change.

  5. I nurture collaborative leadership and shared ownership, ensuring students, staff, families, and community partners are voice-holders in designing strategies for thriving.

  6. I focus on sustainable systems and culture, building structures (policy, partnerships, processes) that embed wellness and equity so that the school community thrives over time—not just for short initiatives.
